Um. So. Last month (January 15th to be exact). I officially left my 20's and entered the next decade. Yes, my name is Britney and I am 30 years old. There I feel much better now. Actually I wasn't ever really that upset about it. I feel like I have done enough that I deserve to be 30. So I will wear it proudly. Except the cellulite and beginning of wrinkles.
Ben spoiled me fantastically. I enjoyed every minute. I have always known he was a great husband, but he blew me away this time. I woke up and he handed me a paper titled "30 Things for 30 Years". One of the sweetest things ever. He had written out our schedule for the weekend including heading to Salt Lake for the weekend to shop, eat, go to a Jazz game, breakfast in bed and sleeping in. My favorite was line 17 -"Back massage from me - with clothes on". Hilarious. The day/weekend was so wonderful. He had everything taken care of, even the babysitting. Thanks for my best birthday ever babe!
We had such great time and thanks to Shell and Hailey for watching the boys.
I also went to breakfast with some friends and then Hailey and Celine came over and helped the boys make me a special birthday cake. So we did cake and presents before Ben and I left for our weekend get-a-way.
I am such a lucky girl to have so many people who love me. I am undeserving.

9
The 17th of December is a big day in our house. On that day in 1999 I got hooked up pretty good. It was a freezing, snowy day in Idaho and I married a really great guy. 9 years later that really great guy was far, far away in New Jersey - so he sent me these. See, really great guy.
I'm a lucky girl to love someone and have that someone love me back. Trust me, I am not always easy to love. He makes me laugh, drives me crazy, keeps me sane, annoys me, puts up with me and makes me very happy. Plus he is a pretty awesome dad. I have the life I always wanted. Yep - I'm a lucky girl.

Happy Birthday to my Benji
Ben's birthday was Saturday. He woke to presents and festivities he never could have imagined (well really just balloons and streamers - but they were big balloons). We had very yummy waffles and piggies (sausage) - yes Ben made it, but I offered and was told that he "likes to cook breakfast". We painted pumpkins that my mom bought for the boys. Then Ben, my dad and my little brother Riley headed off to the BYU football game. Meanwhile, my mom and I headed off to the mall. When we all met up again, we had a fantastic dinner at Sakura. I mean fantastic. Everyone gave it an A+. We had a fabulous chef and my kids were very entertained. I have never seen them both eat so much. Blakey kept saying "I need that steak, mom!" and Eli yelled "whoo-hoo" every time the chef did anything (including put food on his plate). We came home and loaded my new washer and dryer in the house and surprised Ben with a Heath Bar ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Then we watched Iron Man and all crashed. Whew! It was an awesome day and I hope my favorite guy had a good time! It was fun to have my family here to help celebrate - thanks for coming!

Rise & Shout

Saturday was the first BYU football game of the season. It was also Eli's first BYU game ever. He and Ben went and apparently had lots of fun until the third quarter when Eli got bored. To keep himself entertained he talked daddy into $15 worth of yummy stadium food - he is truly is my child!
